Gracey celebrated her 7th birthday on Friday, the 20th! We had a full day, which was rather unintentional, but somehow happened.
To start the day, the ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the new
a fruit stand in the 1920's and grew from there. It closed due to the lack of interest as the buildings and decor became outdated. But some developers with great insight decided to give it another try. Sticking with the theme of Vacaville, it is a family-oriented park designed to be a stopping point for travelers who pass through, as well as families who live here. Many people are only familiar with Vacaville because of the Nut Tree that was here before. They developers did a fantastic job and it's an addition to be proud of. We love our city! Then we took Grace to one of her favorite restaurants, Gorditos, where she chowed down on her regular -- cheese enchilada with rice and beans! They brought her ice cream with a candle and sang "Happy Birthday!"

The next thing on the agenda was a stop at the Vacaville Ice Sports Arena. Originally, Grace was allowed to bring ONE friend but we were blessed with some free passes, enough to invite a few more friends!! Then we came home and had pizza and heart-shaped cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles. Grace is a very blessed girl and we thank Jesus for having her in our family!
