Wow! We were totally blessed to see Bethy perform in her school choir this weekend, where they performed a medley of showtunes from "Oklahoma!" David and I were so proud but David was literally beaming!! She had a solo and we were so blown away. She definitely has a gift for theater. Very animated. Todd and Adrianne, Jonathan and Emma and Grandpa Carlos came along with us, as well. It was a bonzi trip (as for those of you familiar with our life, just one of many we have made), Friday to Saturday. We had to go as soon as we got to congratulate Bethy and give her flowers but Uncle Todd, Aunt Adrianne and the rest of the family stayed to enjoy the hoe-down that followed. Even still, we didn't get home until 12:45 a.m. David and I stayed awake the last 45 minutes or so doing karaoke to XM Radio. All around, it was totally worth the effort and we were so glad that we didn't miss it. You just can't replace memories like that. And the extra blessing was spending time with the Grace family (Todd and Adrianne) because they were so gracious to let us stay at their house. We enjoy their company SO much and the kids have a blast together. David and I determined that we spend more time with them now that we've moved up here than when we lived just 45 miles away. Isn't that ironic?
