For those who don't know who Dayna is; well, she is my charge four days a week. She belongs to my cousin, Doreen, who graciously lets us "borrow" her for our entertainment and learning adventures!! She is absolutely adorable and typically keeps us in stitches. She is quite the character. The girlies love her to bits and pieces. And I kind of like her, too. I had to allocate a bit of space just for her because she is so much a part of our family.
For school, the girls made a poem about "Fall". I thought this would be an easy way to share with the grandparents, who may not have anyplace to store the hard copies! If you can't read Emily's, it says, "Fall, Fall, coming down. It is so cold in town."
Grace, Emily, Dayna and I took a trip out to Silveyville Pumpkin Patch this afternoon, along with some friends. It was a beautiful day but still a little toasty for fall. Fall is full of my favorite colors; red, yellow and orange! Silveyville has lots a little things to do, such as "horse" rides that they make out of hay bales, a small and not too haunted hay bale structure, a wagon ride that takes you through the orchards, which also contain Christmas trees right now, building toys and, of course, gourds galore! We took a field trip here last year with our homeschool group but this year we just went with friends. The girls all picked out a pumpkin; Dayna had one just her size!
